SYNOPSIS
21 Percent follows the lives of five Latina girls in their hometown, as they come to grips with the harsh reality of being suicidal teens in America today. Their experiences will illuminate a glimmer of hope, as they tell their stories exposing the silent epidemic behind why Latina’s attempt suicide more than any other racial group in America.

We travel to thriving Latino communities across the nation to search for answers and reach out to medical experts to help understand this new paradigm and explore ways to break the model.

As each girl’s story is told, the hidden truths of this rising cultural phenomenon are revealed and the film shines a light on this silent epidemic. The film 21 Percent, will inspire courage, determination and triumph of the human spirit. We hope the film serves as a catalyst for a much needed awareness and national dialogue.
