    LOGLINE
    In a fractured America, a biracial woman journeys between her White conservative roots and her Black ancestral past, confronting the cost of identity in a nation built on division.

    SYNOPSIS
    THE UNROOTED BLOOM is a feature documentary co-directed by poet, activist and emerging filmmaker Amber Allen-Peirson and Cassidy Friedman (Circles, Voices Beyond the Wall) that delves into the complexities of biracial identity, personal history, and the search for belonging in a divided world.

    Using archival footage from her past and present day verite scenes of her life as an educator, activist and seeker, Amber invites viewers to join her journey of navigating life as both Black and White, offering a powerful exploration of the challenges, triumphs, and nuances of living between identities.
