    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    LOGLINE
    Anu is a transmasculine director, but when he visits his family he shaves off his mustache and plays the role of beloved daughter and sister, Anna. With the help of his camera he tries to overcome the fear of coming-out while capturing a twisted family portrait.

    SYNOPSIS
    Anu is the first trans actor in Poland. He publicly came out a long time ago. But when he visits his family, he shaves his moustache, puts on makeup, and plays the role of the beloved daughter and sister. His patriarchal father would rather write poems, and his mother would discuss the superiority of YSL over Coco Chanel than face the truth.

    This performance could continue forever were it not for Anu’s girlfriend, who has had enough. Anu picks up a camera and begins filming his family, hoping it will give him the courage to confront his fears. Coming out turns out to be the tip of the iceberg of family dramas and everyone in the end will have to go through their own transition.

    An uplifting family story with a courtroom finale bringing a beacon of hope for those who fight for relationships and authenticity.
