DocuBay signs deal with Whale OS-maker Zeasn

SVOD DocuBay has announced a strategic partnership with smart TV OS-maker Zeasn.

December 12, 2019

DocuBay, which is owned by IN10 Media, said that the deal will make the streamer available to millions of devices across Europe, South America, the Middle East and South Asia.

Zeasen is a Beijing-based vendor which creates a range of smart home products. It is best known for its Whale ecosystem of services, along with the CTV operating system Whale OS. It has offices in Fuzhou, Taipei, Hong Kong and Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The arrangement will make DocuBay’s catalogue of documentaries available to Zeasn’s users across a wide range of Smart TV devices.

Akul Tripathi COO of DocuBay said: “Through this strategic alliance with Zeasn, DocuBay continues to strengthen its global reach enabling entirely new audiences to discover DocuBay’s curated catalogue of premium, international documentary films. We are confident that this partnership will accelerate our efforts in important territories and advance OneTribe memberships across the globe.”

Jason HE, CEO of Zeasn saidL “Zeasn is striving, through the Whale Eco platform to tighten Smart product and service with worldwide families, while DocuBay is focused on proving high qualified contents for devices, that mutual parties goals are better serving end TV users. This partnership is highly complementary to the Whale Eco construction. With growing families’ content requirements, open contents and ecological cooperation is keeping with the service essence for users.”

DocuBay launched in August and is available in over 180 countries. Membership is offered quarterly for €9.99 or annually for €29.99.

Most recently, the streamer has announced a licence agreement with channel provider SPI International. The deal includes seven of SPI International’s premium titles.
