Collaborative Releasing Summit – Save the Date!

The summit will consist of filmmakers sharing, in 5- to 15-minute casual/informal presentations, what they consider to be best practices in audience, community development, and DIY/DWO distribution. Anyone who cannot be physically present can Skype of FaceTime in, or share their ideas with us beforehand, and we will present on their behalf.

The date will be Saturday, June 3, starting at 9am, in Los Angeles. More details TBA.

Film Scoring

Cynthia Catania, the singer and songwriter of Saucy Monky and The Secret Things, is now scoring for film. She’s a record producer, a live sound engineer, and a composer (she co-wrote the theme song for ABC’s “Food for Thought with Claire Thomas”). Much of her catalog can be heard in television shows and in commercials, including Nickelodeon’s iCarly, Josh & Drake, Victorious, CBS’s Blue Bloods and the WB’s Veronica Mars, and Wendy’s. A world class performer, Cynthia has played festival stages with pop and rock contemporaries Pink!, P.J. Harvey, Wilco, Metric, Beth Hart and more. Recently, she scored the short film “Unbreakable” by Barry Papick, which is currently making rounds in the film festival circuit. For more info, please contact her.
