TF1 (té effe un) is a French free-to-air television channel, controlled by TF1 Group, whose major share-holder is Bouygues. TF1's average market share of 24% makes it the most watched TV channel in France and Europe.

MyTF1 is the channel’s catch-up service, where viewers can watch replays of programs on channels TF1, TMC, TFX and TF1 Series Films, as well as exclusive videos and news.

The two main categories are ”Series and Fiction” and “Divertissements,’ which appear to be the kind of programming one would find on E! or Lifetime in the U.S. There does not appear to be any arthouse-type cinema to be seen here, and almost nothing one could consider to be a documentary

TFI boosts multiscreen service

France’s TF1 has announced a revamp its multiscreen service MYTF1.

Starting on Tuesday, May 26, viewers will be able to watch premium content from the company’s free channels TF1, TMC, NT1 and HD1 on all screens and also have access to MYTF1VOD.

MYTF1 has 16 million unique visitors a month through four screens.

The MYFT1 app had already been downloaded 5 million times of March last year.
