18 ½
ABOUT THE PROJECT

LOGLINE
In 1974, a White House transcriber discovers the lone copy of the infamous 18½-minute gap in Nixon’s Watergate tapes.

SYNOPSIS
18½ is akin to Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? meets 3 Days of the Condor… But a little funnier than either of those. Award-winning director and Slamdance co-founder Dan Mirvish collaborated on the screenplay and produced the film with Daniel Moya.

Filming started in early March 2020 at the Silver Sands Motel in beautiful Greenport, NY, on the North Fork of Long Island. After taking a “pandemic pause” with only four days left in production, the team safely completed the shoot in September 2020.

The ensemble cast includes Willa Fitzgerald, Gotham Award nominee-John Magaro, Vondie Curtis Hall, Catherine Curtin, Richard Kind, Sullivan Jones, Lloyd Kaufman, with the voices of Ted Raimi, Emmy winner-Jon Cryer, and Bruce Campbell.

The edit is coming along wonderfully, and the score by Luis Guerra is a veritable hit-parade. Now, we’re raising money for post-production and completion—color, sound, VFX, and deliverables. Every dollar counts and your contribution is essential!
