Dear Collaborators:

The moment has arrived! The Film Collaborative is now in the “beta” phase of its launch, just in time for the start of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival next week. We have a ton of exciting stuff to tell you about. Here are the highlights!

2010 Sundance Film Festival (Jan 21 - 31, Park City)

The Film Collaborative will be getting some great press announcements for our launch. Look for articles in Filmmaker Magazine, Variety, IndieWIRE, and others, appearing in the first half of the Festival!

The Collaborative will be handling Worldwide Festivals for the Sundance World Competition feature UNDERTOW (CONTRACORRIENTE) by Javier Fuentes-Léon. This haunting and romantic ghost story set on the Peruvian seaside is unlike any other film you've ever seen! For more details on the film, click here.

The Collaborative will also be working with the Sundance environmental documentary GASLAND, a shocking environmental revelation about the downside of natural gas drilling. Featured in the NYTimes in recent weeks. Go here to find more about the film.

Following Sundance, we're right on to the

Berlin International Film Festival (Feb. 11 - 21)

The Film Collaborative will be handling WORLD SALES and FESTIVAL DISTRIBUTION for the following two Panorama Features:

THE OWLS, directed by Cheryl Dunye, written by Sarah Schulman, and starring Guinevere Turner and Lisa Gornick, an experimental thriller/film noir about four “Older-Wiser-Lesbians.” Click here for more information.

BEAUTIFUL DARLING. An amazing documentary about the Life and Times of Andy Warhol Superstar Candy Darling. Featuring interviews with an impressive list of star-studded downtown New York art world celebrities…click here to find out who’s on the list.

Additional Film Consulting Clients

In addition, we are now consulting with the 2009 SXSW Award Winner MADE IN CHINA and ADVENTURES OF POWER.

And of course…there are many more exciting announcements to come!
