    The Human Experiment
    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    LOGLINE
Realizing that the “human experiment” may be on the verge of annihilation, an unpredictable corporation of gods sends their CEO to Earth in search of a solution.

    SYNOPSIS
Somewhere otherworldly, high on mountaintop but, in reality, beyond time and space, a “start-up” corporation of gods holds a meeting to assess their “human experiment” project, which is apparently on the brink of annihilation—again. Reports are presented showing the destruction humans repeatedly cause: wars, environmental devastation, chaos… Some of the gods try to defend humans, citing their propensity for innovation and creativity. Raven, a trickster god, announces that he has found another planet where they can start over and, this time, get it right. A vote is called. The CEO, a god named Kris, is paralyzed and cannot cast the deciding vote about whether they should put the humans out of their misery or leave them to sort things out. Prompted by Raven, Kris decides to descend to Earth—the first time a god has done so in eons. Little does she know that Raven’s intentions are less than pure and motivated by a coup he is plotting to occur in her absence…

In her descent to Earth, Kris chooses to take a very human form, with a human’s experience and emotions. She foregoes her godly powers on this explicitly fact-finding mission. She is given a regular job and encounters problems that we have to face around survival, illness, human relationships. In order to keep Kris on Earth and to enact his plan, Raven convinces another god to have Kris fall in love with a human, which means she would violate the terms of her return to Earth and her bias will be revealed.

THE HUMAN EXPERIMENT asks us to examine our world from a larger lens, to consider what our true gifts may be as humans, and to imagine what help we may need to resolve the predicaments we have created.
