ABOUT THE FILM:

WOMAN’S PICTURE is an anthology film set in the present but inspired by classic women’s films of the thirties, forties, and fifties. The story is divided into three sections, each of which revolve around its own specific female character. The segments function as parallel dimensions, exploring the often tense relationships between mothers and daughters. WOMAN’S PICTURE is Brian Pera’s second feature film. His first film, The Way I See Things, premiered at Outfest in 2008.
